Mark Baird is a graduate of Purdue University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Surveying from the school of Engineering. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Houston Baptist University. After graduating from Purdue and moving to Houston, Texas, Mark worked in the engineering department of a large energy company now known as NRG Energy. During his career at the company, he held several different leadership roles including the Director of Employee Benefits where he was in charge of the company’s 401k plans, stock plans, pension plans, and all health and welfare benefits.
During his tenure, he obtained his designation as a Certified Financial Planner™. Mark has always been passionate about helping people with their financial lives, assisting them with making sense of the sometimes confusing and complicated world of personal finance.
Mark continued this passion for helping others by attending and completing Dave Ramsey’s Financial Coach Master Training. As a financial coach, Mark learned how best to provide common sense education and empowerment that will give people the skills they need to change their lives. Mark uses this training as well as his expertise as a CFP® to guide families through the creation of a unique financial plan. Everyone needs a financial plan in order to succeed and Mark firmly believes that a thorough and effective plan is the foundation for a successful life.
Mark is on the board of directors of the Tipton County Foundation, serves on the county’s Board of Zoning Appeals and is on the board of Oakbrook Church in Kokomo. He along with his wife Linda reside in Tipton County, Indiana.
